2003 Chardonnay Semillon: A dry unoaked wine in the style of Chablis. Complexity and good aging qualities arise from the blend of Chardonnay, Semillon and Verdelho. A beautiful wine with chicken, turkey, duck and pork.
2009 Traminer: A gewurtz style made very dry, and with the flavours of spices and lychees, and with the perfume of roses and grapes. It is an excellent accompaniment to Asian dishes, curries and highly flavoured foods.
2009 Verdelho: A full flavoured rich wine with typical grape-tropical fruit flavours and a small amount of residual sugar. It complements richly flavoured foods such as cold roast meats, mild curries and middle eastern foods.
2009 Riesling: Made dry with typical citrus and slight tropical fruit flavours, this wine is the perfect accompaniment to fish and chicken dishes. Riesling is beginning to be recognised as one of the major varieties of this cool climate district. The 2009 Riesling recently won a Trophy for the Best Young Riesling at the New South Wales Wine awards.
2008 Rieselle: A semi-sweet Riesling with a lovely dry finish, this wine has the citrus flavours of Riesling with the grapey flavour of the fresh juice which has been stopped early during the fermentation process. Try it with Citrus Tart, lemon cheesecake, or sushi.
2008 Merlot: A variety which is suited to the Canberra district with its occasional spring frosts. This vintage was held in French and American oak barrels for 18 months, but has also kept its fresh fruit flavour. A favourite with lamb or a cheese platter.
2008 Barbera: This Italian red variety is cultivated in the Piedmont, but seems adaptable to the warmer parts of Australia. Ours is made as a light red in the Italian style, with no oak, and after initial fermentation on skins is treated like a white wine. It can be chilled in Summer and served with antipasto, salads and rich white meats. In winter enjoy it with pasta, pizza and other Italian specialties. Silver Medal (Stanthorpe).
2006 Shiraz: These grapes were picked at full ripeness and therefore have the well-known Shiraz flavours of berry fruit with plumcake overtones, though with the moderating effects of the cool climate in which they were grown. There is a slight pepperiness which matches your steak, or other barbecued meats.
